Guidelines for Parents Participating in Field TripsWe appreciate parents volunteering to help with our field trips for the older children (ages 5 years and older). Field trips or “going out” are a very important part of the older child’s experience. The afternoon children usually take three or four field trips during the year. The Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary will take more, as it is considered a vital extension of their research and understanding of the outside world. Sometimes the school rents a bus and all of the afternoon and elementary children take a trip together. Last spring we went to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. Since these trips are an extension of the work in the classroom, we ask that parents who come adhere to the following guidelines:
