Parent Group Co-Coordinators: This position entails overseeing the various committees and making sure we follow through with our deadlines and commitments.

Parent Group Secretary: This position entails communicating through e-mails all information that needs to be addressed, discussed, with the parent body from the Parent Group. This includes meeting reminders, volunteer requests, event reminders, and meeting notes.


Parent Group Treasurer: This position entails holding all of the money earned by the Parent Group to fund our Parent Group-sponsored events throughout the year and our donations to the school for improvements. This person will also handle the withdrawals needed from each committee for events. They will also need to keep an accurate record of the withdrawals (and reason), deposits (from where), and current funds.


Room Parents

These parents will coordinate with their teachers, provide assistance where needed, and plan and organize class events. These parents will also provide a positive connection to the new families in their classroom to help them feel more welcome at Ivy League, with the parent group, and with other ILMS families.

Teacher Appreciation Week March 19-23, 2012

Teacher Appreciation Week Committee: This committee plans, coordinates, and executes the events and ways the parents will show their appreciation for all of the teachers during the week of: March19-23, 2012.

Coordinators

Giving Coordinator: This position entails someone who can plan, coordinate, and execute all of the charities that the parent group participates in.

Box Tops for Education Coordinator: The coordinator sends out flyers/emails promoting the Box Tops for Education program at ILMS. This person will also be in charge of collecting the box tops, counting them, and submitting them to General Mills for redemption by the two due dates.

Early Release Day Activities Coordinator: The Early Release Day Activities Coordinator plans activities for early release days which are on: September 28, 2011, October 20-21, 2011, and February 17, 201. Some suggestions for activities: bowling or open gym through the Parks & Rec. (The activities need to be added to the school calendar.)

Parent Business Directory Coordinator(s): The ILMS Parent group provides a Business Directory for ILMS parents who want to let other parents know about their business. Information needs to be gathered from parents, compiled onto a spreadsheet and posted on the ILMS website.

Web Site Coordinator: This position entails reviewing the Ivy League website for accuracy with Parent Group information and events and coordinating the appropriate changes with Donna Cochran.
