Parent Group Co-Coordinators

This position entails overseeing the various committees and making sure we follow through with our deadlines and commitments.

Parent Group Secretary

This position entails communicating through e-mails all information that needs addressed, discussed, to the parent body from the Parent Group. This includes meeting reminders, volunteer requests, event reminders, and meeting notes.

Parent Group Treasurer

This position entails holding all of the money earned by the Parent Group to fund our Parent Group-sponsored events throughout the year and our donations to the school for improvements. This person will also handle the withdrawals needed from each committee for events. They will also need to keep an accurate record of the withdrawals (and reason), deposits (from where), and current funds.

Liaison to the School Director

This position entails being the liaison between the Parent Group and the ILMS Director, Becky Carty. This person will be in charge of communicating pertinent information and requests from the Parent Group that need to be addressed, discussed with, or approved by the Director.

Room Moms/Dads

These parents will coordinate with their teachers, provide assistance where needed, and plan and organize class events. These parents will also provide a positive connection to the new families in their classroom to help them feel more welcome at Ivy League, with the parent group, and with other ILMS families.

Fall Festival Committee

  • This committee plans, coordinates, and executes the Fall Festival on October 11, 2008.

Fall Book Fair Committee

This committee plans, coordinates, and executes the Scholastic Book Fair during the week of October 6 -11, 2008.

Spring Fling Committee

This committee plans, coordinates, and executes the spring fling/field day at Ivy League. The date of this event (typically in April) is yet to be determined.

Spring Book Fair Committee

This committee plans, coordinates, and executes the Scholastic Book Fair during the spring. This date of this event has not been determined, but will end on the date of the Spring Fling.

Giving Back to the Community Committee

This position entails someone who can plan, coordinate, and execute all of the charities that the parent group participates in. This is a new position this year.

Box Tops for Education Coordinator

This position entails someone who can send out flyers/emails promoting the Box Tops for Education program at ILMS. This person will also be in charge of collecting the box tops, counting them, and submitting them to General Mills for redemption by the two due dates:

Square One Art Coordinator

This position entails someone who can send out flyers/emails promoting the Square One Art program at ILMS. This person will also be in charge of sending out the materials, collecting the finished squares, and submitting them to Square One Art for printing.

This position assists with communications to the parents about the emergency notification service, updates, and fundraising issues.
