Who We Are

The ILMS Parent Group is a positive, supportive organization whose members include all parents and caregivers of ILMS students. We are dedicated to supporting both the school and the parent community while fostering social relationships for our ILMS families.

The organization has these primary responsibilities:

• To provide our services, talents, time and financial resources to the school community to aid the educational process.
• To assist teachers in each classroom through volunteer Room Moms/Dads.
• To identify the interests and needs of the school and Parent Group (in coordination with the school’s Director) to determine each year’s goals for our fundraising efforts. (This may include coordinating extra-curricular programs for the children and/or parent education, improving classroom materials, improving playground equipment, hosting events, improving communication tools, etc.)
• To create and host social opportunities during the school year to build a stronger ILMS community (Fall Festival, Spring Fling, etc).
• To raise the necessary funds needed to support the fundraising goals and Parent Group sponsored events throughout the year.
• To coordinate volunteer efforts.

How to Get Involved and Stay Involved

The ILMS Parent Group is open to all parents and caregivers of Ivy League Montessori School. We have meetings/social gatherings three times a year in August, January and May. These social gatherings are a great way to stay informed about what’s happening at school, meet new people and offer your support.The first social took place at the beginning of the school year on August 17, 2011. Mark your calendar now for the next two:

It All Starts Now!

Shared responsibility is vital to the success of the Parent Group. Volunteering also sends an important, positive message to our students, helps build community, and ensures the best possible educational experience.

Please visit the Volunteers List and take the time to look over the opportunities and sign up for what works best for you. We need your help to make this a wonderful year!
